My favorite Christmas cards are the picture cards. I love sending, and receiving them. We've being doing photo cards for a very long time. I save a copy of ours every year. I love to see how we've gone from having one child in the picture, to having three. I also love seeing how much my husband and I have changed through the years.
When I saw these photo props at Target, I knew they'd be perfect for this year's card.
Thanks for visiting.

DECORATING COOKIES
One of my kids' favorite things to do during the holidays is, decorating cookies. And I must admit some of us, adults, enjoy it too. I kept things simple by buying store bought sugar cookie dough, and gingerbread cookie mix. This sped up the process tremendously, and the cookies were delicious. I also saw a cute idea from this blog for a reindeer food bar. The sign was made from a black canvas I bought at Michael's, it turned out pretty cute. Some of the kids made reindeer crowns, inspired by this wonderful blog. I thought about having a hot chocolate bar, but the unusual warm temperature we had did not warrant drinking hot cocoa, bummer!.
Needless to say we all had a wonderful time!
And I loved a chalkboard card from Yellow Bicycle, and enlarged it on the chalkboard wall, such a true sentiment!
For another little treat I gave the kids a candy cane reindeer. They loved it!
And now to get ready for New Year's Eve!

Elfie's Antics-6
Not only is our Elfie fun, and adventurous, but he's very thoughtful and loving, as well. We found him today with a note for the kids, and elves' wigs and ears for them. Too cute!
Our Elfie is just magical!
Have a very Merry Christmas, from our home to yours!

ELFIE IS BACK...FINALLY!
Our little elf made a delayed entrance this year. The kids were starting to wonder if he was going to show up at all. Even my husband kept asking about his return. So this morning, Elfie was on our kitchen island just waiting for the kids to see him. The most excited was our little son. Elfie showed up with a letter explaining his tardiness. He also brought 3 jars for good behavior, to be filled by me with pom-poms, to reward the kids with the gifts they asked Santa to bring them. We'll have to wait and see what mischief he gets into!
I think this is the beginning of a sweet friendship!. Hopefully, besides being tardy, Elfie won't get too distracted by cute Peppermint!.

And one of our neighbors brought an elf she's allowed to touch. her name is Peppermint. She and Elfie became fast friends.

KITCHEN: BEFORE AND AFTER
I finally have the kitchen of my dreams!. We've been in our house for approximately 16 years, and have enjoyed living in this house as is. However, one of the spots I've always wanted to remodel was our kitchen. It served us well, but I always felt it could function and look better. I'd always tell my husband about what I would do to the kitchen, and he would always tell me: "Keep dreaming". Well, let me tell you dreams really come true, so here are the before and after pictures, enjoy. I won't go into specifics about our budget, or sources, but if anybody has a question about anything, I'll answer happily.

AFTER:
The kitchen looks bigger because we raised the ceiling, and removed opened the kitchen to the dining room.
When people first see it, they always say it looks beautiful and how spacious it feels.
We certainly are enjoying our new kitchen!
