Catching Up...

I wish life wouldn't move so fast, or maybe I should keep up with it, at least blog about it, that is. I'm going to try to post about our  activities  these past few months. So bear with me, events  may have occurred a while back.
I hope you'll enjoy the pictures!

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY TO OUR JASON!

Happy 8th birthday to a very loving son. I thank God for blessing us with you!

I thought it would be nice to display his birthday pictures, along with some of the invites and items from each party (except the mini gumball machine). Eventually I'll put these in shadowboxes for him.

For his 1st birthday, I took the idea from a Martha Stewart Kids magazine, there was a caterpillar cake that I just adored!

This year's party is a bakery theme, you can see the invitation on the right. The party will be next Saturday. Today we're just celebrating with a few family members.

When I look at these, all the memories come to me. It also makes me realize how fast time flies!

May Jason be blessed with many more happy and healthy birthdays!

ELFIE our elf is back!

Actually he's been back for little over a week now. My kids love to have him around. It's funny because at the beginning when he first appears the kids' demeanor changes a bit. It's like magic how they start behaving just a better.
Our Elfie, is a very playful little elf. Every day he's up to something!.
Anyway, he showed up at our home hanging from a banner ,(subscribe to their Cupcake Chronicles newsletter). He also left notes to the kids indicating they need to be "good". These are from 505-Design, so perfect!

Here's a closeup of the letters:

My daughter got very teary eyed when she read hers, she figured she's blown her chances for getting what she wants for Christmas!. All I can say, NO LOUD MUSIC  coming from her bedroom!
My middle son, Jeremy, I think he's definitely getting coal!. And my youngest one, Jason, keeps blaming his brother for his misbehavior.

Anyway, here are a few photos of our adorable Elfie in action:

Elfie makes his appearance, Jeremy ignores him

Reading their special letters

Just hanging out

Looking at Christmas decor magazines

Leaving a trail of candy canes

Elphie loves candy canes

This is because Jeremy and Jason are always arguing over the PS3
It took the kids a couple of  days to find him here

Elphie's had enough!

Well I guess you'll have to come back and see what else Elfie does around here!

Take care,

Thankfulness, Family and the Turkey

Happy Thanksgiving!. So much to be thankful for, especially being able to spend time with my brother and my dad. Thankful for my mom, always there with us when we need her. Thankful that she still cooks the most delicious turkey!. Thankful for my hubby, who loves me unconditionally; grateful for our three healthy children. They make the holidays even more special. Thankful for my sister, and her fiance; always coming over to spend time with us. I love them all!.

And because it's our tradition, every year we light up our tree on Thanksgiving:

And thank you for visiting my blog!

Fall Activity: Belated Halloween

For the second year in a row, due to bad weather, the kids didn't get to celebrate Halloween on October 31st. It just feels so out of place and time but what can we do?. Nobody can control the weather!. Nonetheless, the kids got to wear their costumes on Monday, November 5th. We started trick-or-treating around 2:45pm on our street but nobody was home. Earlier that day, I was told by a friend, that people were going to the park to hand out candy to the kids. I must say it was nice and different!. To my surprise, many trick-or-treaters did in fact ring our door bell and it felt just like Halloween.
This year our daughter, and her best friend dressed up as the "Phoenix". My mom had to make their costumes using a morph suit, and gold spandex fabric. It was a lot of work, but they turned out great!.
Our middle son is at that age when putting on a costume is not the "thing" to do, his "t-shirt" was his costume. And, our youngest son, was a chef.

Hopefully next year we get to celebrate on the 31st.
