Time to Celebrate and Rejoice

Good Monday morning to all,

Yesterday we celebrated Jeremy's First Holy Communion. The ceremony took place at the 12 noon Mass . There were approximately 20 kids altogether, taking part in this important sacrament. Here's the handsome young man himself,

We had to help the kids make a banner for their pew, so this is Jeremy's:

It was a beautiful ceremony, and the church was packed.

Afterwards, we went to a local restaurant to celebrate the occasion. The food was delicious!. I made up a menu for the guests, so here it is:

And for the favors, I wrapped store bought chocolate bars with Jeremy's silhouette image. I love how they turned out.

It was a wonderful day for my son and all those involved.

I participated in Genevieve's Mermaid Swap. We had to create a mermaid using whatever we wanted to use.

My partner was Sammy @ www.sammystuff.blogspot.com, and she sent me two mermaids with gorgeous beadwork, really amazing work, thank you Sammy!

And I sent her a mixed media Mermaid wallhanging:

This was truly another wonderful swap to participate in!

This is all for now, I hope everybody has a fabulous day.

Till next time,

Hugs,

Rosa

I'm so impressed with the silhouette crafts you did. I'm sure those will be so loved by your son when he grows up. I think that would be really neat to hang in my kids rooms. Thanks for the idea!

Hi Rosa!
What a handsome young man you have there! The candy bars were a wonderful idea! I am sure your mother heart squeezed just a bit at seeing your son take this wonderful step in life.

Your mermaid swap items are awesome! Wow, I wonder how long it took to do that beading? Just wonderful.

I will be announcing an art swap over at my blog tomorrow, come check it out and see if you are interested in joining. Have a restful evening!
