FESTIVAL OF BALLOONING 2013 Part 1

This is our sixth time going to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Readington, NJ, and the anticipation and excitement of watching the hot air balloons being inflated and taking off doesn't wear off. There are always new balloons to look for, and this year there were some really cool ones.
We wake up around 4 am in order to get there by 6, I love watching the sunrise, it's so beautiful!

It's a very popular event, a lot of people attend.

I thought I'd have some photo fun, and asked my husband to take a few pictures of me and the balloons:

We had some great laughs!

The leader balloon takes off,

And soon after the others are inflated, take flight, and hopefully replicate the flight of the leader

The following hot air balloons were some of our favorites:

It must be a wonderful experience to be in one of those baskets, I took some close ups:

I would love to fly in one of those!

Just missing our daughter, she was visiting my mom

If you have the opportunity to go to one of these, I recommend it highly. You'll be glad you did.

This particular balloon festival takes place every year. It's a Friday to Sunday event, on the last weekend in July.
Next post I'll show pictures of other things we did.

Thanks for stopping by.
